GEORGE TSANTRIZOS, LIBERAL CANDIDATE IN THE RIDING OF LAURIER-DORION
Montreal, June 17, 2018. – In the presence of many party members and supporters, George Tsantrizos was nominated as the official candidate for the Quebec Liberal Party (QLP) in the riding of Laurier-Dorion for the upcoming 2018 general election.
“Laurier-Dorion is my home. This is where I was born, where I grew up and where I have lived my entire life. This is also where I learned that there are less affluent people who live in precarious conditions. My desire to create a better society appeared very early in my life and my career as a political adviser, for the last eleven years, has shown me that we can take concrete action to improve the quality of life of our fellow residents. I am proud of the work we have done and I look forward to this new challenge,” said the Liberal candidate for the 2018 general election, George Tsantrizos.
Note that the Liberal government has balanced our public finances to give us the means to invest more in our priorities. Since May 2014, more than 229,500 jobs have been created in Quebec; the unemployment rate has been at an all-time low for several months; over 1,000,000 Quebecers now have access to a family doctor; taxes have decreased; and major investments have been made, particularly in health and education.
“On October 1st, in Laurier-Dorion, we will choose responsibility, diligence and openness. We will choose social justice and inclusion! On October 1st, I’ll be there to represent my citizens and defend their values and interests. I’ll be there to improve their quality of life, but also to build a prosperous society so that today’s youth, our future leaders, can proudly inherit a richer and more promising Quebec!” concluded Mr. Tsantrizos.
