Shots were fired from a moving vehicle late Friday night on 12th Avenue, between Jean-Talon and Shaughnessy boulevards, in the Saint-Michel borough. No injuries were reported. Police found a shell casing at the scene.

A vehicle was destroyed by fire in the driveway of a Belsize Street residence, near Applewood Street, in Hampstead early Saturday morning. Investigators found traces of accelerant at the scene.

Tornado confirmed in Repentigny with winds of 130 km/h
Researchers from the Northern Tornadoes Project at Western University confirmed that a tornado touched down in Repentigny, north of Montreal, on Aug. 2, with estimated maximum wind speeds of 130 km/h. Buildings and trees sustained damage. No injuries were reported.
